Man in Waders has created a program to increase kids’ respect of nature, understand what it means to adapt to an environment with less water, and increase awareness of water conservation. It also introduces kids to fly fishing and organizations that seek to preserve and conserve cold water fisheries.
Project WILD – Aquatic provides a framework for Man in Wader’s TIC/H2O Stewards. Project WILD – Aquatic is a program developed for K-12 education curriculum. WILD is administered by the Council for Environmental Education and cosponsored by the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. Topics in Project WILD – Aquatic include Ecological Knowledge, Social and Political Knowledge, and Sustaining Fish and Wildlife Resources.
